This Privacy Policy explains how The Chaos Plan ("we", "our", "us") handles your information when you use our website at thechaosplan.com or our mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password. Optionally, you may provide a display name and household context (used to personalize plans).
- Plan progress: we record which tasks you mark complete, your current phase in each plan, and when you start or finish a plan.
- Subscription and billing: if you subscribe, our payment processor collects your payment details directly. We never see your card number — we only receive your subscription status from our payment processor.
- Organizer information: if you sign up as a professional organizer, we additionally collect your business name, bio, specialties, location, service type, and optional booking and website URLs.
- Usage signals: standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.
Third parties
We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account, profile, and plan progress are stored in our database provider.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments. Payment details are sent directly to our payment processor and are governed by its Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic — provides the AI personalization features available on our web app. Your household context is sent to our AI provider to generate personalized recommendations.
- Sanity, Vercel, and other infrastructure may be used to host static content and deploy the Service.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the Service (account access, plan delivery, progress tracking).
- To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To personalize plans through AI features (web only).
- To respond to your inquiries and provide account-related notifications.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described in "Third parties" above, or when required by law.
Your rights
- Access and correction: you can view and edit your account information from the account settings.
- Deletion: to delete your account and associated data, email us at support@thechaosplan.com from the email address associated with your account.
- Export: request a copy of your data by emailing the same address.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted-at-rest storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a data breach affecting you, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by email.
